Katie began her yoga journey in Boulder, Colorado in 2009 when her friend recommended she take a yoga class to help manage stress. A consistent yoga practice followed, not only helping reduce stress, but also resulting in countless other benefits like increased strength and flexibility both physically and mentally.
Katie completed a 200-hour teacher training program through CorePower Yoga in Denver, Colorado. Immediately after earning her certificate, she continued her training for a 50 hour extensions program where she focused on hands on adjustments and presence as a teacher.
She has taught in Colorado and Florida in a variety of settings, always encouraging students to listen to their own bodies and enjoy their time on the mat. She focuses her classes on proper alignment and breath work and loves helping yogis discover new things about their practice. It is her hope that students of all levels find comfort and joy in her class and are willing to try new asanas, use props, fall out of poses, look silly, shake it off, and laugh.
